hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone that mimics luteinizing hormone (LH), the signal your brain naturally sends to the testes to produce testosterone and sperm. By providing that signal directly, hCG may help support natural testosterone production and testicular function. It's used by men addressing low testosterone, by men who want to preserve fertility while on testosterone replacement therapy, and as part of a broader hormone optimization plan. It's compounded by a state-licensed pharmacy based on your clinician's prescription.

What it may help with

  • Natural testosterone production: may help support the body's own testosterone production by signaling the testes directly

  • Testicular function and size: may help maintain testicular function in men on testosterone replacement therapy

  • Fertility preservation: may help support sperm production, especially in men who want to maintain fertility during or after testosterone therapy

  • Adjunct to TRT: often used alongside testosterone therapy to keep the body's own pathways active

What to expect

Many patients begin noticing changes in energy, libido, or testicular function within 4 to 8 weeks of consistent use, with fuller effects building over 3 to 6 months. Your clinician will use follow-up lab work to track your response and adjust your plan as needed. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.

Why patients choose hCG

  • Works with the body's natural hormone signaling pathway

  • A common choice for men who want to preserve fertility

  • Often used alongside TRT to maintain testicular function

  • A small subcutaneous injection self-administered at home

How it works

01

How to use it

A small subcutaneous injection, self-administered once or twice weekly per your clinician's instructions. Your kit includes everything you need: vials, syringes, and step-by-step guidance.

02

Getting started

After you place your order, you'll complete a short medical intake online and upload your recent lab work. A licensed clinician reviews your labs and medical history to determine whether hCG is appropriate for you. A brief telehealth appointment with the clinician is required (at no extra cost) before a prescription can be issued. If approved, your medication is compounded and shipped discreetly to your door. Most patients receive their first order within one week of completing intake and lab review.

03

Staying on it

After your first delivery, a new supply arrives automatically every 12 weeks, so you don't have to remember to reorder. You can delay a shipment or cancel anytime from your account.

04

Your dose

Personalized by your clinician and may be adjusted over time based on how you respond and follow-up lab work.

Lab work is required

Men's testosterone therapy is only prescribed to patients with documented low testosterone or specific hormonal symptoms confirmed by lab work. To start: You'll need recent blood work (within the last 12 months) drawn between 7am and 10am. If you don't have recent labs, you can order our Men's TRT Initial Panel for a low cost or complete it independently and upload your results. The lab test must include: CMP, CBC, TSH, Free T4, Testosterone (free and total), Estradiol, LH and FSH, SHBG, DHEA Sulfate, PSA (free and total), Cortisol serum AM, Prolactin, Ferritin. To continue after 90 days: To monitor your response and ensure your testosterone stays within the appropriate range for men, you will need to complete a lab test within the first 90 days of using testosterone therapy. You can order our Men's TRT Maintenance Panel or complete it independently. The lab test must include the following biomarkers: CMP, CBC, Testosterone (total + free), Estradiol, LH and FSH, SHBG, PSA (free and total). Annually: After the 90-day check-in, the Men's TRT Maintenance Panel will be required annually.

Important to know

  • hCG is a prescription medication and requires evaluation by a licensed clinician.
  • The FDA-approved use of hCG is for specific reproductive and fertility conditions. Its use for men's hormone optimization is off-label, based on a growing body of clinical experience.
  • This medication is compounded, meaning it's custom-prepared by a state-licensed pharmacy based on your clinician's prescription. Compounded hCG is not FDA-approved as a finished drug product.
  • hCG is not a weight loss medication. Despite past marketing claims, there is no clinical evidence that hCG supports weight loss, and the FDA has issued warnings against this use.
  • Treatment requires documented low testosterone or a specific clinical indication, with ongoing monitoring during therapy.
  • Not everyone is a candidate. Your clinician will review your medical history, possible side effects, and whether this treatment is right for you.
  • Results vary and are not guaranteed.
